Founder & Clinical Director, The Force Acupuncture
Qihui (pronounced Chee-Hway) is a New York and New Jersey Licensed Acupuncturist, nationally board-certified in acupuncture (NCBAHM), and a Certified Social Worker in New Jersey. As the founder of The Force Acupuncture, he is dedicated to helping individuals achieve lasting health by integrating the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern, evidence-informed care.
Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Qihui was introduced to Traditional Chinese Medicine as an integral part of everyday life and community health. His passion for healing led him to pursue formal education in both Chinese medicine and social work before moving to New York City at the age of 27 to continue his professional training and become a licensed acupuncturist in the United States.
Qihui holds a Bachelor of Medicine in Acupuncture, Moxibustion, and Tuina from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a Bachelor of Law in Social Work from Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and a Master of Science in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science in New York.
His clinical training includes advanced study with renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine educator Dr. Lihong Liu at the San He Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as completion of the first official Pediatric Acupuncture Certification Program in the United States through JingShen Pediatrics under Moshe Heller and Dr. Steven Cowan, MD.
Today, Qihui's practice focuses on helping patients with chronic pain, women's health and fertility, digestive disorders, stress and anxiety, sleep disorders, healthy aging, and pediatric conditions. Rather than treating symptoms alone, he believes in identifying the underlying patterns contributing to illness and empowering patients to improve their health through acupuncture, lifestyle modification, nutrition, movement, and other traditional healing approaches.
Beyond clinical practice, Qihui is actively involved in community health education, clinical research, and the advancement of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the United States. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists and is the co-founder of the InterGrowth Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to expanding access to health education, integrative wellness programs, and cross-cultural healthcare initiatives.
Qihui is passionate about building bridges between Eastern healing traditions and modern healthcare. His long-term mission is to translate the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine into practical, accessible, and evidence-informed solutions that help individuals and communities live healthier, more resilient lives.
Whether caring for patients in the clinic, teaching wellness workshops, mentoring future practitioners, or contributing to clinical research, Qihui believes that healing is about more than relieving symptoms—it is about restoring balance, cultivating resilience, and supporting each person's capacity to thrive.
